Kochi will host the 15th National Rozgar Mela on April 26, where 165 candidates selected for various central government departments and PSUs will receive their appointment letters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the newly appointed candidates via video conference.
Kochi : As part of the 15th edition of the National Rozgar Mela, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Trivandrum Zone, will organise a regional employment fair in Kochi on April 26. The event will be held at TDM Hall, Ernakulam, commencing at 9:30 AM.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address newly appointed candidates via video conference during the event. Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Tourism Shri Suresh Gopi, will attend the function as the chief guest. Sheikh Khader Rahman IRS, Chief Commissioner, Central Tax, Excise, and Customs—Trivandrum Zone, will deliver a keynote address.
A total of 165 candidates, who have secured appointments in various public sector banks and central government departments, will receive their official appointment letters during the event.
The appointees have been selected for positions across 11 central departments and organisations, including the Airports Authority of India, Bank of Baroda, Defence Estates Organisation, Department of Posts, Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Higher Education Department, Income Tax Department, Indian Overseas Bank, Indian Railways, Customs, and the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Department.
Similar events are being conducted across the country, including in Thiruvananthapuram. In total, 51,000 candidates have been offered appointments through the Rozgar Mela initiative, which is being implemented at 47 locations nationwide as part of the Government of India’s mission to boost employment opportunities.
